Escape to the Canadian Border
Every once in a while Ron and I get the feeling of wanting to get away from it all....and most of the time that is just not possible. So we do the next best thing. We take the afternoon and go on an adventure. Today we drove up to Blaine, Washington, at the Canadian border, with our camera, and took pictures of all the flower gardens at Peace Arch Park. You can walk across the US/Canadian border in the park without having to go through Customs, so we actually crossed the border a couple of times as we walked throught park.
It was a lovely day.....around 60 degrees, mostly overcast and perfect for taking pictures of flowers.
We drove home by way of Chuckanut Drive and were treated to a spectacular sunset. All in all, it was a nice get-away.
