Ron and I drove up to Mt. Shuksan today......probably one of the last times we will get up there this year. We wanted to go see the beautiful fall colors before they disappeared. There were a few huckleberries still on the drying bushes....which were very sweet. (I had to taste them!) Even though we have been up to this mountain countless times, it still is breathtaking. No wonder it is the most photographed mountain in the United States.
On the drive home, we pulled over to get a view of "Twin Sisters". These mountains are very small compared to Mt. Baker or Mt. Shuksan, but are still very beautiful. They are even move beautiful after the first snow.
It's alway fun to try to get the "perfect" reflection shot of Mt. Shuksan in Picture Lake. Still haven't gotten one that is a "perfect" reflection.....but this one isn't bad.....especially for my little camera. The only thing missing, was our kids and grandkids. It's more fun when we can share this with our family.

That last picture actually looks like a painting - it's hard to believe that it is a photograph. Next time let us know ahead of time and we'll come!
I wish we had a suburban so we could all ride together.
